FREE Template: A Letter to Remember My Miscarried Baby
Aug 29, 2022Writing a letter to your baby can be a therapeutic way to connect, honor, and remember your miscarried baby.
Your mind is most likely filled with too many thoughts to handle - questioning, worrying and grieving. Oftentimes, getting those thoughts out of your mind and onto paper can help you explore your own feelings surrounding your experience of miscarriage.
It is only normal that while pregnant, you began to imagine and picture what life was going to be like with your baby. What were they going to look like? Who's hair color would they have? What about their eyes? What would they be when they grew up?
It is imperative to know that your imagining all of the above is totally normal. And now, grieving that future is even more normal.
You have every right to grieve at the fact that your miscarried baby is no longer with you and that picture you had of your future has been punctured.
Capturing on paper those moments you had envisioned is a powerful and therapeutic way to remember a miscarried baby. It is also a way for you to express your thoughts and not just keep them as thoughts. Getting them out of your head can allow you to begin to create happy memories while moving through your grief.
